Feel at ease in a studio that mirrors the relaxed and authentic atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest. Kingtide Ink owner and artist Charlie Piper understands that your body is your canvas, and is committed to maintaining a true collaborative process between client and artist. Charlie’s style highlights both realistic natural elements and imaginative design, which he curates into eye-catching tattoos.

THE TEAM
Charlie returned to West Seattle after earning degrees in Studio Art and Art History from the University of Vermont. Over the years, he has established a unique style that highlights both realistic natural elements and imaginative design.
While working as a freelance artist and designer in Vermont, he dove into the art of tattooing and became fascinated with translating his fine-lined drawings onto skin. Upon moving from Vermont to West Seattle, Charlie became involved in the ceramic community as an instructor and technical assistant at Rain City Clay. In March 2023, he decided to further pursue his passion for the art of tattooing and began the process of opening his own private tattoo studio— Kingtide Ink.
A Vermont native, Sarah also attended the University of Vermont where she double-majored in Studio Art and Public Health. Following her undergraduate education, Sarah focused on the world of non-profits while simultaneously working alongside Charlie to realize the vision for Kingtide Ink.
In late 2023, Sarah shifted her full focus onto growing Kingtide while building up her own branding and website design business- Sarah Elise Creative. Her artwork can be found in the studio, incorporated into select flash drops, and on Instagram @s.elisecreative.
